Growing in Faith: A Seven-Week Journey of Discerning God’s Voice
At Hands of Hope Ministries, we believe that developing a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ begins with spending time in His Word, growing in prayer, and learning to recognize the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We were excited to put this belief into practice by hosting a seven-week Bible study for a wonderful group of young women in the early stages of their careers.
Together, the women worked through Discerning the Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer, a study designed to help believers develop a more intimate relationship with God and become more attentive to His will, His heart, and His voice in their everyday lives.
As these women navigate the opportunities, decisions, and challenges that come with the early years of their careers, learning to seek God's direction is especially meaningful. Whether facing important life decisions, building relationships, or determining what the future may hold, we are reminded that God desires for us to walk closely with Him and seek His wisdom in every season of life.
Throughout the seven weeks, the women had the opportunity to open God's Word together, ask questions, share personal experiences, and encourage one another in their walks with Jesus. Just as important as the lessons themselves was the fellowship that developed among the group. Each woman brought her own experiences, questions, and stories of spiritual growth, creating opportunities to learn from one another and grow together in faith.
Seven weeks of studying God's Word, growing in faith, and building friendships! We are thankful for these women and their desire to grow closer to Jesus through our Hands of Hope Ministries Bible study.
The study also provided a valuable reminder that hearing God's voice is not simply about looking for answers to life's biggest questions. It is about building a relationship with Him—one that grows through prayer, Scripture, obedience, and a willingness to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. As we grow closer to Christ, we become better equipped to recognize His truth and seek His direction in our daily lives.
We are grateful for the time these women invested in studying God's Word and for the openness, encouragement, and fellowship they shared throughout this journey. It was a joy to see their desire to grow in their relationship with Jesus and to encourage one another along the way.
And the best news? The journey isn't over! The women enjoyed the study so much that they have already expressed an interest in beginning another Bible study at the start of the New Year. We look forward to seeing how God continues to work in their lives as they grow in faith, deepen their relationships with Christ, and encourage one another to live out His Word.
At Hands of Hope Ministries, this is exactly what we hope to see: lives being strengthened through Scripture, relationships growing through fellowship, and disciples being equipped to follow Jesus more faithfully.
We look forward to what God has in store for these women and for the ministry as we continue our mission to LIVE - Lift others in Prayer, Instruct in the Word, Volunteer to Serve, and Equip Disciples.
